The Graphic Art Biennial of Szeklerland has become a significant international forum of graphic art and this has been confirmed again by the quantity and quality of the submitted works to the call of the biennial of this year. The importance of G7 is also is also evident if we consider that this year artists from 62 countries have sent works to the contest. Similarly to the preceding event of the biennial, the Hungarian, Romanian and Polish lines are still the strongest, but this year the representation of some countries from South-America and a series of countries of the East, including Thailand, India, China or Taiwan has become more pronounced. During the application period of ten weeks nearly 2000 works from 844 artists have been submitted.
The deadline of the 7th Graphic Art Biennial was on March 23 at midnight, and after that the first phase of the jurying session took place during the period from March 29 to March 31.
The jury of G7 is composed by internationally recognized representatives of graphic art: Prof. dr. Bogdan Achimescu, professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Prof. dr. István Erőss, rector of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, Prof. dr. Adriana Lucaciu, professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the West University of Temesvár/Timișoara, dr. Andrea Pézman, assistant professor at the Graphic Design Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, dr. Beáta Bordás, art historian and director of the Transylvanian Art Centre in Sfântu Gheorghe, dr. József Szurcsik, vice-rector of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, head of department associate professor and Apor Ferencz S. artist, curator of the biennial.
